UHHA Symposium

The UHHA ( University Hub Haneda Airport) Symposium has been designed to provide an innovative and stimulating public forum for blending intellectual with practical considerations to help guide Japan toward an inspired and stimulating 21st century economy. In a sense, it intends to offer a Japanese intellectual version of "Woodstock".

UHHA projects will connect academics, university students, business, governments, international organizations, civil society, and the general public to help revitalize Japan and its place in the global economy. As an international hub of growing importance to Asia and beyond, Haneda Airport has become the gateway of Japan to the world. It embraces this role, and with it welcomes the opportunity, indeed the responsibility, to serve as the catalytic engine to launch this critically important symposium.

2nd UHHA Symposium

The 2nd UHHA Symposium was held as a memorial event for Dr. Mineo Nakajima, who unfortunately passed away on February 14th. He had served in the position of President of both UHHA Executive Committee and Akita International University, as well as one of official "Partner Events" of TICAD V which will be held in June.
The UHHA Professional Business Seminar was convened, taking the rostrum of professionals who are acquainted with Africa, for the purpose of deepening understanding about Africa among the enterprises/companies which are looking at option to integrate into the African economy.
Both the Symposium and the Seminar were a huge success and we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation for your participation.
